Extreme weather strikes southern America. At least 21 people died because they were unprepared for the blizzard and in Texas, the electricity went out when residents held on to temperatures of -18 degrees Celsius.

Cold temperatures are expected to last for days with more than 71% of the US area covered in snow, said the NWS.
"I'm in Houston, Texas cold to death," wrote one Twitter user, Chris Prince. "No electricity, no heating, no water. I have four small children. How is this happening now?"
"It's likely we don't have enough electricity supply based on our estimates and we'll get everyone back today or at least before the morning peak tomorrow," said Dan Woodfin.
The magnitude of the blackout angered a number of officials and residents. Governor Greg Abbott called the situation unacceptable. "This is a complete failure. They show they are not reliable."
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Texas Electrical Reliability Council (Ercot) said it would restore electricity as quickly as possible in a stable manner.
