


The Actor’s Director Workshop with Graham Sibley
Join us for a transformative three-day Actor’s Director Workshop with Emmy®-nominated actor and educator Graham Sibley, presented by ThespyHouse. Designed for directors, showrunners, and creative storytellers at any level, this intimate six-person experience is a hands-on course offering powerful, practical tools to deepen your collaboration with actors. Through guided exercises in movement, voice work, and scene exploration, you’ll learn how to give inspired, actionable direction, enhance character work, and build trust with performers. Across three immersive days, participants will explore presence, voice, and physicality in a safe, creatively charged environment—sharpening communication skills and gaining deeper insight into storytelling from the actor’s perspective.
About Graham Sibley
With over 20 years of experience in film, television, and theater, Graham brings unmatched insight and empathy to the actor-director dynamic. He’s worked with visionary filmmakers like Clint Eastwood (Sully) and Woody Harrelson (Nanking), headlined indie gems such as Blush and You, Me & Her, and portrayed Abraham Lincoln in A&E’s award-winning docuseries. Known for his actor-first teaching philosophy, Graham fosters an environment of trust and exploration. This isn’t just a class—it’s a master experience in unlocking the creative potential between actor and director.

Course Schedule
The Actor's Director Workshop is designed to experience and explore the embodiment of character with the intention of understanding how best to give tangible and inspired notes to actors. Participants will move their bodies, share their voices and unpack what makes them tick.
This is a three-day workshop:
Friday, June 20th: 5:30pm - 9:30pm
Saturaday, June 21st: 10am - 3pm
Sunday, June 22nd: 11am - 4pm
DAY ONE:
PRESENT MOMENT & BUILDING CHARACTER
Participants will be guided through exercises that focus on how the present moment informs character development and crafting an effective character arc.
DAY TWO:
FREEING YOUR NATURAL VOICE & GIVING EFFECTIVE VOCAL NOTES
Participants will be guided through exercises that focus on understanding their own habitual vocal patterns and how that informs giving effective vocal notes to an actor.
DAY THREE:
EXPLORING PHYSICALITY & GIVING EFFECTIVE PHYSICAL NOTES
Participants will be guided through exercises which focus on the primary ways to create physical life — destination, business, and gesture.
