Last Friday Club: May
THE MAY EVENT
Our speaker this month is Debbie ... she'll be sharing some tips on making the most of networking meet-ups.
THE HISTORY
A FREE relaxed networking meetup on the last Friday of each month at Rume2, Chichester’s ace co-working hub, or sometimes a walk around the City walls.
It was started in 2016 by, Debbie Ford owner of The Chichester Social (specialising in social media strategy and training, with a focus on LinkedIn), and Emily Perry of The People Consultancy (coaching and mentoring people consultant). Since this time, it has grown massively and we regularly attract over 40 people to our monthly meetups
WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
Chichester-based:
Freelancers – service providers, digital, creatives, writers, ecommerce, tech etc
Business owners or solo entrepreneurs – pop-up shops, retailers here in town and surrounding areas, or individuals running their business
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We aim to offer something a little more informal than perhaps other more traditional business networks. And our members come away from each meetup with renewed vigour and purpose for their business by benefiting from the experience of others. A real sense of community and connection.
Over the years we've seen so many of our members collaborate, there's even been some unusual pairings with a singing tutor and a brand strategist – it just works!
Attendees are from varying business backgrounds, so you'll be sure to fit in or find someone/something of interest. Our members are often our speakers too, so they get a chance to share their business insight and knowledge.
