Forest Bathing (Summer '25 Explore Seattle Series Wed Cohort)
🌿 Forest Bathing at Washington Park Arboretum
This week, we invite you to step into stillness and reconnect with the natural world through an evening of forest bathing in the peaceful surroundings of Washington Park Arboretum.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is not a hike or workout—it's a slow, intentional walk designed to help you ground yourself, heighten your senses, and gently open space for reflection and connection.
Together, we’ll wander among the trees, guided by a series of calming invitations and shared moments of quiet, presence, and conversation.
🌲 What to Expect:
Mindful walking at a relaxed pace through wooded trails
A series of gentle sensory invitations to tune into sight, sound, smell, and touch
Small-group and partner prompts woven throughout
A closing circle for group reflection
This is an opportunity to let the noise of the week settle, feel supported by nature, and share space with others in a quieter, more spacious way.
💭 Before You Arrive: Reflect On...
What do I need less of right now? What do I need more of?
Where in my life have I been rushing? What would it feel like to move slowly?
What has nature taught me recently—about myself, about life?
You don’t need to bring answers—just the questions.
🗓️ Event Details:
📍 Meet at the Graham Visitors Center at 6:30 PM
🕰️ We’ll begin our walk by 6:45 PM and return by 7:45 PM for small group discussion
🌧️ Rain or shine—nature welcomes all weather. Dress accordingly.
🎒 What to Bring:
Comfortable walking shoes
A water bottle
A towel, blanket, or small mat for sitting (optional)
Willingness to unplug and be present 🌱
Let this evening be your permission slip to pause, listen deeply, and feel grounded—in nature, in community, and in yourself.
With love,
The Tribe Team 🌳
