An evening with Dr. Wendy Yanow

​Dr. Yanow is the Chair of Oakton Community College, an equity, inclusion, anti-racism justice facilitator/trainer, coach and consultant, Facilitator for the Evanston YWCA, and an equity, inclusion, anti-racism justice facilitator/trainer, coach and consultant for the Anti-Defamation League.

​As an academic, Wendy's practice has been focused on helping adult learners, especially those ill-served by traditional education, to meet their personal, academic, and professional goals. Focusing on the ways in which race impacts educational equity, opportunity, and subsequent experiences, her practice has included a focus on culture as a context for learning and designing education. Wendy is committed to education for equity, social justice, and social change.

​Dr. Yanow will be interviewed by Dr. Noffs followed by questions from the students in attendance. We encourage any and all students interested in working with adult learners to attend this important event. Dr. Yanow provides a truly unique opportunity to speak to one of our country’s greatest adult educators and to build your knowledge about adult learning.
