✍️ Monarch Moon Reflection Jam [public]

​This month, monarch butterflies arrive in the SF Bay Area from the north and east, resting here before moving on for the winter. As we welcome the monarchs, how might we honor transience alongside beauty?

​Join us in gathering for this full Monarch Moon for an evening of guided journaling and sharing, to the rhythm of cozy lofi beats.

​You'll honor your personal experiences of the past moon cycle with a series of reflections, inspired by the life of the monarchs:

• ​Flourishing: What was a moment you felt closest to flourishing?

• ​Encounter: What was a moment you encountered the limits of your human existence? (.e.g. loss, choice, suffering?)

• ​Origins: What was a moment you felt, "This is what makes me who I am"?

• ​Becoming: What was a moment you felt, "This is who I want to be?"

​If you're in a social vibe, a Mingling Musers section will allow you to share reflections with a small group.

​If you want to journal alone, a Solo Sojourners section will give you space alongside quiet company for a private reflection.

​Come with something to write with/on. If you've come before, bring your pebble. ​Invite a friend!

​Schedule:

• ​Doors open at 4:45pm — Check your energy and choose the Mingling Musers or the Solo Sojourners section (you can also move between sections).

• ​Doors close at 5:15pm — We will create and hold a space for reflection.

• ​Reflection Jam from 5pm–7pm

• ​Optional Debrief at 7:10pm — As this is an experimental event, you're welcome to stay afterward to give feedback about how the event went, what worked well, and what you think could work differently!

• ​Optional Dinner 7:30pm — Interested folks will head out to grab dinner nearby.

​550 Laguna basement level 🔽🔽
We'll meet in 550 Laguna (the corner of Hayes & Laguna)

• ​Once you arrive, go down the stairs to the basement level to enter space

• ​Please take your shoes off once you get into the space for ~cozy vibes~
