This time we will meet at the Chevron Suite at the Ion.

Event Description

Learn about what is driving innovation in the energy tech ecosystem through the lens of Chevron’s groundbreaking initiatives. Join Energy Tech Nexus for an engaging session featuring Monica S. Krishnan and Lynn R. Rouse, two leaders at the forefront of Chevron’s innovation efforts.

Monica will take you through Chevron’s innovation journey, including the creation of Launchpad, and share insights into how the company fosters transformative ideas. Lynn will dive into the Chevron Studio model, which supports entrepreneurs at all levels, and discuss why partnerships are critical to accelerating innovation. Together, they will also address the challenges women face in advancing innovation and the importance of creating an inclusive ecosystem for progress.

This event will provide a deep dive into the strategies, collaborations, and leadership driving the future of energy technology.

About the Speakers

Monica S. Krishnan
Monica S. Krishnan is a Commercial Advisor in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) at Chevron New Energies. With a diverse background spanning technical and commercial roles in Upstream, Downstream, and Chevron Technology Ventures, Monica brings a wealth of experience to the table. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and an MBA from the Bauer College of Business. Recently, she earned her CCUS Certification from the Colorado School of Mines.

Monica is deeply committed to advancing STEM education and empowering the next generation. She serves on the Board of Allies in Energy and previously on the Board of Directors for GIRLSTART, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring girls in STEM. She also mentors female founders through the DIVINC consortium at ION Houston. Monica is a passionate advocate for innovation and a proud mother of two.

Lynn R. Rouse

Lynn R. Rouse is a Strategic Relationship Manager at Chevron Innovation, where she focuses on accelerating innovation through external partnerships. Based in Houston, TX, Lynn manages the Chevron Studio, a platform that helps startup founders bring promising technologies from the lab to the field. With over two decades of experience at Chevron, she has held various technical and commercial roles in upstream operations and chemical ventures.

Lynn holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Texas A&M University. Known for her ability to envision and implement disruptive technologies, Lynn is a driving force in shaping the future of the energy industry. Her work emphasizes the importance of collaboration and strategic thinking in commercializing innovative solutions.
