About Ed Giansante
Ed Giansante is the Head of Community at Persona. He previously served as the Global Head of Community at Dropbox, Wix, Zynga, and VMware and founded Edublin. Ed was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to Ireland in 2008, where he started the expat community Edublin. His ability to share helpful information through video storytelling has earned him over 400K YouTube subscribers and over 50 million views.
While building Edublin, Ed joined Zynga as a Global Community Manager. His work scaling communities resulted in millions of dollars in savings, earning him the title of the most efficient employee of the year in 2013. In 2014, Ed joined Dropbox with the challenge of starting Dropbox’s community strategy from scratch. Within months, he launched the Dropbox Super User program, which helped streamline product feedback and scale support. In 2020, Ed was named the Online Community Professional of the Year by CMX.
In 2021, Ed joined Wix to help shape its long-term community strategy and scale to millions of users. He is also involved in non-profit mentorship programs, helping individuals in their careers, and serving as an angel investor in multiple startups. Ed is now based in San Francisco, leading the community for the startup Persona.
