About Event

Tired after a long week of Chicago’s Innovation scene with Tech Chicago?

Bust out your tropical shirt and sandals and join the young changemakers of GENESIS on Chicago’s Lakefront for a wonderful lū’au experience!

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted with tiki torches, a personal lei, and tropical drinks in addition to an open grill with all-you-can-eat burgers, hotdogs, and more. A hammock, volleyball net, and other games will be provided.

Join us for a memorable way to spend the night, mingle with other innovators, and enjoy summertime in Chicago.

BONUS: To finish off the night, we will be having a live FIRE PERFORMER demonstrate the Samoan Fire Knife Dance, so stick around!

Event Schedule:

6:00 - 6:30: Guest arrival, lei greeting, mingle.
6:30 - 8:50: Grilling, activities, hang out.
8:50 - 9:00: Fire Knife Dance.
9:00— Clean up.
