At our fourth session, "Emerging Health," on May 7 you will hear from:
Ayo Roberts – Senior Associate at Sonder Capital, where she partners with early-stage medtech founders building breakthrough technologies to improve care and expand access. A biomechanical engineer by training, Ayo has over a decade of experience in R&D, product strategy, and commercialization. She’s a Stanford Biodesign and Ferolyn Fellow, now bringing her national experience to Chicago’s growing health innovation ecosystem.
Michael Schultz – Senior Director of Venture at Portal Innovations, where he works with life sciences startups at the intersection of science and commercialization. With a PhD from Harvard, Mike moved back to Chicago during the pandemic and is connecting companies, scientists, and industry regionally and nationally.
Amit Aysola – Managing Partner at Create Health Ventures, a Chicago-based early-stage venture fund focused on digital health and tech-enabled services. A healthcare operator turned investment banker and now VC, Amit brings a cross-sector lens to innovation in care delivery, access, and equity.
Tim Turner – Vice President of Data and Analytics at Thresholds, one of Illinois' largest providers of community mental health services. Previously, Tim was at Walgreens, where he led pharmacy insights and analytics across operations, marketing, and patient experience. A UChicago Booth MBA and IMPACT Leadership Development Program alum, Tim blends deep analytical expertise with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and systems-level change in healthcare.
