About Event

Let's read and learn how to change the world! Our book this summer is "Blueprint for Revolution" by Srdja Popovic.

Popovic shares how to build a powerful, nonviolent cultural movement. The book is a "handbook for anyone who wants to effectively (and peacefully) improve your neighborhood, make a difference in your community, or change the world." His secret? Humor.

How this relates to climate: Managing pollution is a grassroots issue opposed by powerful special interests. Let's study Popovic's techniques for grassroots reorganization of power structures.

We'll meet at the Montlake Library, which is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute bus or bike ride from the UW light rail station. We'll split up into small groups and provide a few questions to get the discussion started. If it's a success, we might also pick a new book for this fall!
