Special guest: Vadim Telyatnikov is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in digital assets. Currently, Vadim is the Chairman and Co-Founder of AlphaPoint, a global financial technology company providing digital asset infrastructure to power the next generation of exchanges, brokerages, payment networks, and banking. AlphaPoint has provided technology to leading institutions including CME Group, XP Securities, RBC, Scotiabank, and Guardian Life. It has also powered the Chivo digital wallet for the government of El Salvador.
After LiftDNA was acquired by OpenX, Vadim left to pursue new ventures. A few years later, he and a friend started a $20M quant hedge fund seeded by a family office. He started trading bitcoin as a way to explore an alternative strategy. Although they didn’t continue the arbitrage strategy, it showed Vadim the inefficiencies that still existed in the space and the need for institutional grade platforms to provide traders better options to access and trade digital assets. This led to the founding of AlphaPoint.
Vadim is also a Venture Partner at Blockchain Builders Fund, an early stage blockchain venture fund. BBF’s team runs Stanford’s blockchain accelerator and invests primarily into the Stanford ecosystem.
