Sunset CoBa Arch Hike for National Trails Day
Here’s the deal:
June 7 is #NationalTrailsDay.
Anthony is a world-class hike planner.
Dave has never been able to make it to one of Anthony’s hikes.
Dave is an Ambassador for Athletic Brewing Company.
Dave suggested that we bring together our awesome networks for a fun sunset hike, complete with some free ABCs for all – and Anthony never turns down a tasty #NAbeer.
So what does this mean for you? We like you, and we’d like you to join us. Bring yourself. Bring a friend. Bring a partner. Bring your kids, but please don’t give them an Athletic, even if it is non-alcoholic.
Here are the details:
We will meet at in Oak Park around 6:00. Dave will gladly share his ABCs with you.
Park near the red dot above at 4907 Pathfinder Avenue (which is a private residence, so be respectful) and meet just to the left, at the trail entrance marked as Sandstone Hills Trail to Long Ranch Parkway.
We will head out at 6:30 sharp for a moderately difficult but totally safe hike up to CoBa Arch. (50% of the hike is uphill, which means that 50% is downhill!)
We will enjoy a pre-sunset from the arch, complete with some gratuitous selfies with Anthony, Dave, and ABC.
We will scramble back down to get you home long before SNL reruns.
The total distance in and out is 4.3 miles, with an 1,134-foot elevation gain to the top.
What should you bring:
Yourself
Water
Hiking shoes
Flashlight (just in case)
Any snacks you want to share
Any ideas you want to brainstorm
Any questions? Drop Dave or Anthony a line!
