Pause for a Moment, yoga class with Carlos L'Abbate
We are happy to invite you to our next session from the yoga class series entitled Pause for a Moment with Carlos L'Abbate, hosted by Anca Poterasu Gallery.
We aim to create a quiet space for introspection and focus on one's mind and body under the guidance of a truly skilled teacher of mindfulness, yoga, and meditation.
Our classes will be held every Thursday from 19:00 at Anca Poterasu Gallery, on Popa Soare 26 street in Bucharest. Once you arrive at the location, walk to the back of the garden and take the stairs up to the space above the gallery. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, so keep that in mind as you make your way here. Our neighborhood is quiet and nice, making it ideal for biking or walking.
It's a nice and quiet, so we encourage taking biking or walking towards here.
Our classes cost 70 lei per session. If you prefer a monthly plan, you can get it for 250 lei instead of paying per session. To secure your spot, please make the payment in advance via Revolut @carlos35ox.
Grab your place now by clicking the register button. Life moves fast and plans change quickly, we understand that. If you are not going to be able to attend anymore, we kindly ask you to let us know by e-mail at carlos@yogaofpresence.com or WhatsApp at +40724528755, so that you leave your space to someone currently on the waiting list.
Bring your beautiful selves, as well as your own mats if possible. We will have a few available, but they are limited. We strongly encourage you to bring your own.
Otherwise, we will provide the necessary guidance, as well as a safe space for you to feel seen and heard.
About Carlos
Born in Argentina, Carlos L’Abbate was a primary school teacher in his early twenties, and dedicated the better part of his youth to working with homeless children and older people. These experiences brought about many questions about our relationship to life and death, about the meaning of life and the truth of our existence. In 1989, he left Buenos Aires and began to search for new understandings and responses to these questions. He traveled extensively and during this period, Carlos followed several spiritual paths as well as studied numerous techniques (in formal and informal contexts) connected to the body and mind, in addition to learning the fundaments to art and philosophy, psychology and health. This combined knowledge and experience makes Carlos’s work a really special and unique practice, one that can take a person to the recognition of his/her interconnectedness with all that is.
Anca Poterasu Gallery is a contemporary art gallery established in 2011, Bucharest, aiming to support contemporary Romanian artists. The gallery shows both well established and young artists, active in various media – painting, drawing, art – objects, installation, photography and video-art.

Things you can do in our neighborhood:
Popa Soare street and Măntuleasa are full of charm, history, and culture. Its quiet streets are home to beautifully preserved early 20th-century architecture. The neighborhood famously inspired Mircea Eliade, whose works capture its mystical ambiance in La Ţigănci. It is a famous hub for artists, galleries, studios, and cultural events bringing creative energy to the area. Visitors can enjoy cozy cafés, unique boutiques, and a warm community vibe.
Here are some of our neighbors that we recommend you visit while you're around:
🌼 You can visit De Soi for a tasty apple pie and a great cup of coffee.
🌼 Have a drink at Ginoteca. We simply love their cocktails.
🌼 Zori pe Diminetii, our closest neighbor serves delicious coffee. You can grab one on your way here.
