Art and Change- Exhibition Day 3 of 4
In celebration of SF Climate Week, The Drawing Room has partnered with Climate Reality Bay Area and Audrey Heller to create “Art and Change,” a limited exhibition that brings together 10 Northern California artists to explore issues around air quality, ocean health, fragile coastlines, plastic pollution, and water consumption. In their thought-provoking and meticulous work, these artists use their specific mediums to grapple with wide-ranging questions: how ceramics can represent the collision of human infrastructure and nature; how textiles can visually elucidate complex climate data; and how industrial materials such old tires can be utilized for social commentary on consumer culture and the ideology that drives it.
Co-hosted by Climate Reality Bay Area, focused on promoting climate action and climate justice in the region and The Drawing Room Inc, dedicated to bringing people together by harnessing a vibrant and local community network through art.
