SF Bay Area Substack Writer Meetup
While writing is something that we mostly do alone, being in community is a powerful—and really, necessary part of any passionate pursuit.
This is an opportunity to connect with other Substack writers in person, share what you're working on and learn about other writers, and build an ongoing community of Substack writers in the San Francisco Bay area.

We'll meet at Northlight, a lovely little cocktail bar in the Temescal neighborhood of Oakland, just a short walk from the Macarthur BART station. They've reserved the entire back patio for us, and they offer a menu of small plates and drinks along with a small bookstore!
Please plan to arrive on time, we will start the meetup promptly at 6pm! Both the bar and bookstore are open until 11pm, so there will be plenty of time to hang out afterwards, if you wish. The bookstore is inside the bar!
Our plan for the event is something like:
Purpose — to support each other as writers
Agreements — own your own experience, give what you’d wish to get, keep other’s material confidential, we're not here to try to sell each other anything, etc…
Introductions — who you are, what you're working on, and what would you like to get out of this community?
A fun sort of get-to-know-each-other game
Open conversation
