About Event

No, it's not just you: it's becoming increasingly harder to find meaningful friendships as an adult. As renowned psychologist Esther Peral says, we live in the time of having a 1000 friends on Facebook and no one to feed our cat.

Turns out there are lots of reasons why - from fewer third spaces to social media to busier schedules and many more. Yet research is showing us more and more that having close friends, especially in-person friendships, is one of the most important things we can do for our health, longevity, and happiness.

In this workshop, Janet King, Founder of The Gathering Lab, walks through why it's so challenging to build deeper friendships these days and what you can do about it. You'll walk away with a clearer, science-backed understanding of what it takes to build meaningful friendships, the current challenges getting in the way, and actionable reflections you can use to start building intentional relationships now for this stage of life.

You'll also have a chance to learn more about Summer Circles, a 4-week social experience that helps women find and foster genuine connections that can lead to close friendships without the pain and stressors of "making friends". A.
