The 4-Day Week Service Design Agency
In 2023, Made Manifest spent a year experimenting and prototyping various models of a reduced / 4 day work week.
You're invited to come and hear us chat about how we designed, tested and ultimately implemented a reduced work week for our agency and team.
We will cover:
💫 our hopes (and fears) and criteria for success
👩🔬 exactly what we tested and measured and how
😯 the most surprising thing for me as a leader after prototype 1
I'll be sharing a candid behind the scenes look at what worked, what didn't, and how this impacted our revenue, profitability, team and culture.
Loose agenda:
~20 mins talk from Linn sharing our process
~10 min peer connect with another attendee and reflect on the ideas you heard
~20 mins Q&A
We will have a short breakout room to meet one another and reflect on:
How are you feeling about your current relationship to work?
Are there adjustments or tweaks you would like to make to your working pattern?
What boundaries would you like to set coming into September and the end of year rush?
Pricing is sliding scale to enable participation and accessibility.
If you sign up for a free spot and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to free up a spot for someone else.
This session will not be recorded, because let's face it, we all have enough to do without adding watching a replay to the list.
To select the ticket option that feels right for you, draw on the wisdom and example of Holly Poole-Kavana at Red Bird Botanicals. I learned of this framework through the work of Liisbeth.com and the Feminist Enterprise Commons, who were introduced to it by CV Harquail. Holly created this guidance (below) which I cite with gratitude.
Consider choosing a lower ticket level if you:
are supporting children or have other dependents
have significant debt
have medical expenses not covered by insurance
receive public assistance
have immigration-related expenses
are an elder with limited financial support
are an unpaid community organizer
Consider a higher ticket level if you:
own the home you live in
have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
travel recreationally
have access to family money and resources in times of need
work part time by choice
have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, physical ability, etc.) Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, I ask you to recognize this as a choice
