Innovating in Mental Health: A Founder's Journey to Re-imagining Care
Alex Katz’s journey to founding Two Chairs in 2017 is rooted in personal experience. After witnessing the challenges his partner faced in finding the right therapist, he developed a deep understanding of the gaps and frustrations patients encounter when trying to access care. That experience sparked a vision for a better mental health care system that is centered on matching, holistic care, and exceptional outcomes.
Eight years later, Two Chairs is one of the fastest-growing outpatient mental health systems in the country, operating across 22 states, employing more than 600 clinicians and staff, and backed by more than $100 million in funding.
