About Event

In this guided workshop, participants will read, analyze and discuss the article, “Power & Privilege: An exploration of decision-making of interpreters,” Debra Russell & Risa Shaw, 2016

Research Corners are small group discussions focusing on an academic article or chapter. We use the article as a guide for discussing topics relevant to the work of interpreters (processes, techniques, psychology, ethics, etc.). Research Corners are INTERACTIVE! :)

The focus article should be downloaded and read in advance of the Research Corner (you are awarded .05 CEUs for doing this).

The focus article is publicly available HERE: https://digitalcommons.unf.edu/joi/vol25/iss1/7/

.25 CEUs BEI/RID/QAST

(*Research Corners may be presented in either ASL or English, conversational ASL competency required)
