REMINDERS


1. SSG Grants Notice

  • It is mandatory for all SSG funded (SSG subsidized) trainees to use Singpass app for  e-attendance taking. Training providers are no longer allowed to submit manual attendance for trainees. 

  • Such trainees are required to have

    • latest version of the Singpass mobile app installed in the phone (please check app stores for any updates & perform updates before coming for class)

    • enable location setting in their phone

    • use the camera feature in their phone to scan the Singpass QR code

  • SSG will cancel grants for funded trainees that do not utilize Singpass for e-attendance submission. 

  • In the event of grant cancellation  by SSG, SFATC will bill the course sponsor the unrecoverable grant amount.

2. Physical and Medical Fitness

  • Trainees with fever and/or respiratory/flu-like symptoms (e.g. running nose, cough) must not attend training or do an ART test before coming or leave the training session promptly if symptoms develop during the training.

  • Trainees with any medical history, underlying heart or lung conditions, or any medical problems associated with knee, spine, wrist or joint injury or any physical/mental disabilities are advised to obtain clearance from a doctor to attend the course and assessments.

  • Pregnant ladies are highly discouraged from undertaking the CPR practice due to safety reasons. Therefore, we recommend that pregnant participants, regardless of the gestation period, withdraw from the course immediately and register for the course once their maternity leave has ended.

  • If you feel any physical or medical discomfort during the lessons, kindly approach our instructors immediately for assistance. 

3. Arrival

  • Please be early. Latecomers may not be allowed in the class if the minimum attendance requirement for the course is not met and/or if any of the assessable practical modules have been completed in class. 

4Dress Code

  • Light wear. We recommend jeans or track pants with round neck t-shirts or shirts.

  • Due to extensive practical sessions, female participants are advised to avoid skirts, low-cut blouses and heeled shoes.

5Training logistics

  • The first set of training logistics, such as handouts, bandages, etc., will be provided to participants as part of the course. An additional $16.20 per item will be imposed for replacements if any.

6Attendance

  • Participants are advised not to miss any portion of the course. If attendance falls below 75% or critical components are missed, participants may be required to retake the entire course.

7Course Assessment & Evaluation

  • Trainees are required to complete the theory assessment through our online system. This would require using a smart device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop with the internet.

  • As such, trainees must bring a smart device with a data plan for the last day of class. 

8Passport Size Photograph (for Occupational First Aid Courses and On Board Ship Courses ONLY) - 

  • Trainees attending the Occupational First Aid Courses and On Board Ship Courses - Elementary First Aid, Medical First Aid, Medical Care On Board Ship courses are required to submit a recent digital passport-size photograph to sfatcadmin@firstaidtraining.com.sg 

9Certificates

  • Certificates will only be processed and released after receipt of full payment. The processing time for certificates takes approximately three working days from the date of course completion, provided fee payment has been received. 

  • All certificates are now in digital format and will be available for download in the student portal.

10. Refund/Cancellation Policy

11. Skills Future Funding Subsidies 

  • If you have applied for skills future funding (training grant) please refer to Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) website (https://www.tpgateway.gov.sg/) for more information on funding disbursement criteria.

  • In the event that the funding is rejected by SSG due to unfulfilled disbursement criteria, we will be billing you for top-up of funding amount.

  • For Company-sponsored skills future funding (training grant), please be reminded that there is a criteria of employer-employee relationship and CPF contribution for employer-sponsored trainees. The trainees enrolled by you should receive CPF contribution under the UEN of the company that you have indicated during registration.

  • If the UEN provided is incorrect, kindly contact us immediately at sfatc@firstaidtraining.com.sg before course commencement to rectify the application.

  • Any late requests submitted may lead to a rejected grant.
