About Event

Feeling stuck in your climate job search? Chances are it's not because you're lacking knowledge on climate issues or solutions. It's because of barriers like not having the right connections or enough direct experience for desired roles. You’re not alone.

Join OpenDoorClimate's upcoming workshop designed to help you overcome the obstacles standing in your way of actually getting a climate job. We’ll focus on practical strategies, from smart networking to gaining direct experience wherever you are now. This is all about fresh perspectives and actionable steps to get you unstuck.

What will we cover?

  • Part 1: 2-Hour Learning Session (Oct 18)
We’ll dive deep into the challenges that slow down your job search and strategies to overcome them. Topics we’ll cover include:

    • Networking and making new connections

    • Skill mapping and building

    • Gaining direct experience

  • Part 2: 1-Hour Peer Exchange (3-4 weeks later)
After applying these strategies, we'll meet again to share what’s working, troubleshoot where you're still stuck, and learn from each other.

Why did we create this workshop? Daniel Hill, Creator of OpenDoorClimate, has spoken with hundreds of climate job seekers and shared countless insights with each to get unstuck. Now, he'll put those top insights together into a workshop "sprint" to make that same information easily actionable for others.

This is not a webinar about the climate crisis—it’s a space to gain real, actionable steps to advance your job search. You’ll walk away with fresh ideas to help you move forward.
