Colorado Startups Lean In Circle
We’re testing something new(ish) out–-a Colorado Startups Women in Tech Lean In Circle! Many of us have been part of Lean In Circles, but we don’t really have a strong Lean In community in Colorado. Let's change that! What better group of women than women in tech from the Colorado Startups community to come together to support each other in our professional and personal goals?!
The evening will have 3 major components:
1) Informal networking and community building
2) Mini Ted-Talks from women in our community focused on helping you advance in your career and life
3) Dedicated peer mentorship time for hot-seats
Theme for this Event: Networking Outside of Work & Using AI To Supercharge Your Career
Networking often feels like a chore, and AI can seem intimidating, but what if they were your greatest allies? Our two mini Ted-Talks will transform how you view these essential tools, providing a supportive environment to learn, share, and grow. We're dedicated to helping you build genuine connections and leverage cutting-edge technology to supercharge your career.
What is a Lean In Circle?
It’s basically a community of women, not afraid of the word “ambition”, who want to support each other in reaching their professional and personal goals, and along the way forge powerful friendships and relationships. A Lean In Circle is a group of peers who meet regularly to support each other in achieving their professional and personal goals. The concept was inspired by Sheryl Sandberg's best-selling book, "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead," which encourages women to "lean in" to their ambitions and overcome societal and internal barriers.

Networking Outside of Work: Let's be honest: we've all been told that to be successful, we have to network, yet no one has ever actually taught us how. The word “networking” often evokes cringeworthy images, forced conversations, and the feeling of having to “work the room.” But real networking isn’t about collecting business cards or crafting the perfect LinkedIn DM. It’s about learning how to build and maintain genuine relationships that fuel your growth and confidence. When done with intention and authenticity, networking becomes one of the most powerful tools in your career, opening doors to mentorship, visibility, and opportunities you didn’t know existed. In this session, we’ll dive into practical, creative ways to network with purpose, so you walk away knowing how to connect in ways that feel natural and move you closer to your goals. Your speakers for this session are Devan Kaplan and Alyce Blum.
