About Event

Did you know that Norway has one of the most homogeneous tech industries in the world?

Norway also ranks among the top four countries with the strictest social norms – alongside South Korea, India, and Pakistan – resulting in work cultures where diverse voices are less likely to speak up, and even less likely to be heard.

Not exactly the ideal foundation for innovation, is it?

June 4th we gather at +CODE, to take a closer look at this challenge – and share concrete, practical tools for building a tech industry that’s more inclusive, diverse, and future-ready.

Not sure if this event is for you? If you’re curious about the topic, you’re welcome – regardless of your age, role or industry.

👇 +CODE lineup

💥 Deqa Abukar, founder and CEO of Swedish Bling Startup, is building one of the Nordics’ most inclusive innovation platforms — supporting underrepresented founders with capital, community, and tools to grow. Her story challenges how we think about opportunity, ownership, and who gets to lead in tech.

⚖️ Geir M. Kvalsøren, founder of the IT company Kraftlauget, shows how small shifts in language, design, and storytelling can lead to better gender balance. He shares the practical elements that not only attract women to tech teams — but help them thrive once they’re there.

🧭 Iver Belle-Ramos, Program Director at FiftyFifty, breaks through the buzzwords and lays out the concrete actions that distinguish truly inclusive leaders from the rest.

🚀 Victoria Somdalen from Startuplab Ventures reveals why diversity is becoming a key investment metric — and what today’s most forward-thinking investors look for in early-stage teams.

🔥 Wenche Fredriksen, Head of Inclusion & Diversity at DNB, shares a raw and personal story of burnout and recovery — and how it led her to reshape both her life and her work, with a mission to build more inclusive, human-centered workplaces.

Grab the opportunity to gain fresh perspectives, boost your inclusion toolbox, and connect with new people! ✨
