Mapping AI’s Macro Impact: Advancing shared prosperity

​This cross-sector technical workshop unpacks emerging academic and policy models on how artificial intelligence might influence Australia's prosperity—examining its potential to support wellbeing across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.

​The workshop will evaluate how AI-driven productivity gains can translate into meaningful improvements across all five dimensions of Australia's Wellbeing Framework—helping decision-makers ensure that AI benefits are inclusive, sustainable, and advance shared prosperity for all Australians.

​Guided by Co-Heads of the AI CoLab Sam Bide (a reformed economist) and Paul Hubbard (the Masked Economist)—participants will explore how different economic approaches (task-based, growth-accounting, and endogenous-growth models) can inform our understanding of AI's distributed impacts across Australian communities.

​AI CoLab events are intentionally open and collaborative. We capture photos, audio, and AI-generated transcripts so we can remix key insights for the AI CoLab Alliance community.
