STREET ART WORKSHOP (en)
Join SketchyShona for a hands-on workshop exploring community-based and noninvasive street art through paste-ups. You’ll learn the unsaid rules of street art — from ethics to placement — while creating your own message-driven piece. Materials are included, and after the session we’ll hit the streets together to install your work in real time.
Workshop leader Shona is a US artist, based in Berlin. They see being an artist as a job to reflect life back at itself, and spends a lot of time observing the literal moments, as well as recreating the intangible feelings as well through painting, street art, and tattoos. They work to combine all of these elements to make art more accessible, and encourage people to partake in the creation of their work since they view art as a part of all of us. The artist specifically like to focus on representing subcultures within larger cultural understandings.
