Joy on the Path (Online Registration)
A Non-residential In-person and Online Retreat With Brock Brown
Description
“No dark fate determines our future. We do.
Each day and each moment, we are able to create and re-create our lives
and the very quality of human life on our planet. This is the power we yield.”The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu
The Buddha taught about the suffering we encounter in our human lives, and he taught about joy. In fact he taught that joy is an essential factor in our Awakening. In this daylong we will investigate the Buddha’s teachings on joy on the path. We will see if there is a joy that we can experience which is independent of our external circumstances.
The day will be experiential, with periods of sitting and walking meditation, instruction, guided meditation, and chanting.
This daylong is appropriate for both beginner and experienced meditators.
