βDive into the essentials of neuroscience and neurotechnology in this foundational workshop. Participants will explore the basic structure and function of the nervous system, along with the workings of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). The session will also cover current research trends and emerging technologies in neurotech. This workshop provides a solid grounding for anyone interested in further exploring the field.
βSpeaker: Ruby PrinsenΒ
βRuby is a psychology PhD student at the University of Alberta, with an MSc from the University of Edinburgh. Ruby has an interdisciplinary background in embodied cognition, with experience in a variety of methods, including neurotechnology and qualitative research. Her research primarily focuses on the dynamic nature of social interactions and how they change with familiar others. Ruby is also the Director of Education for NeurAlbertaTech.
