Our incredible panelists include:
Chris Jones, the UK's most senior technology diplomat, the Director for International Technology for the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office: Chris is Director of Technology at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the UK's most senior technology diplomat. He holds a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, starting his career building robots and creating machine learning models for the military. Before joining the Civil Service, Chris had a career in consulting, working with a range of public and private sector organisations, followed by a leadership role at BAE Systems focussing on advanced technology and research. He is a seasoned international speaker on technology, geopolitics, and data and was the Prime Minister's Deputy Representative for the AI Safety Summit. Chris lives in Surrey with his wife, two sons, and what he is told are too many guitars.
Fatemeh Khatibloo, Director of Responsible AI and Tech at Salesforce: I sit in Salesforce's Office of Ethical & Humane Use, where I lead Responsible AI & Tech across Sales, Service, Commerce, and Slack. My remit is to 1) ensure the responsible development and use of Generative AI across the product stack and 2) embed ethics into the broader product design and development process. I also work with our customers to develop ethical, human-centric processes and programs for their frontline service teams. Formerly, I was a VP & Principal Analyst at Forrester, where I led research on privacy, digital identity, and technology ethics. My interests focus on enabling innovation while mitigating harm and protecting human and social wellness and dignity.
Ian Eisenberg, Head of AI Governance Research at Credo AI: Ian Eisenberg is Head of AI Governance Research at Credo AI, where he advances best practices in AI governance and develops AI-based governance tools. He is also the founder of the Ai Salon, an organization supporting conversations on the meaning and impact of AI. His interest in AI started as a cognitive neuroscientist at Stanford, which developed into a focus on the sociotechnical challenges of AI technologies and reducing AI risk. Ian has been a researcher at Stanford, the NIH, Columbia and Brown University. He received his PhD from Stanford University, and BS from Brown University.
Shannon Farley, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fast Forward: Shannon Farley is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Fast Forward, which brings the tech and nonprofit communities together to deploy technology–like AI–to solve humanity's biggest challenges. Shannon has spent her career in social entrepreneurship. She was the founding Executive Director of Spark, the world's largest network of Millennial philanthropists. Prior to founding Spark, Shannon helped start The W. Haywood Burns Institute, a MacArthur Award-winning juvenile justice reform organization. After working in the traditional nonprofit sector, she paired her impatience and optimism, shifting her focus squarely on tech nonprofits since they are well positioned to create rapid change. Shannon’s work with Fast Forward has positively impacted 139M lives, led to $519M in follow-on funding for tech nonprofits, and more. Shannon holds a BA in American Studies from Georgetown University and an MS in Gender and Social Policy from the London School of Economics.

With more than two decades of experience, Emily Scherberth is a seasoned storyteller, qualitative researcher and business strategist in the corporate communications field. As APCO’s managing director of the West and the North America Tech Practice lead, she has guided several Fortune 500 companies as well as early-stage tech and healthcare startups, serving as a trusted counselor to serial entrepreneurs and other C-suite executives. Prior to joining APCO, Emily was the founder and CEO of Symphony PR & Marketing, Inc., a consultancy that worked with disruptive technology, digital health and health care delivery companies. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge. She is also an experienced speaker and moderator and has served as an adjunct professor of communications for more than 14 years at various universities across Southern California including Loyola Marymount University, California State University, Fullerton and California State University, Dominguez Hills.
