About Event

The bioMakerStudio Workshop and Talks Series is a non-profit community engagement initiative funded by the Sustainability Action Booster Grant.

​​​Every week, we invite pioneering bio-creatives to share their techniques to you through hands-on workshops.

​​​The events are completely FREE and no prior experience is needed!

MICROSCOPE INTRO Workshop
December 9th, 4pm - 6pm

Beginner’s guide to light microscopy. Brief introduction to basic operations and sample preparation, accompanied with DIY approaches like looking at crystal structures in polarised light and using a laser pen microscope to observe bacteria suspended in water.

*Feel free to bring any samples to observe under the microscope!

​To provide more individuals with the opportunity to participate in our workshops, priority will be given to those who have not been accepted to our previous sessions.

​​​We will be taking photographs of the workshop to include into our funding reports, publications, and social media (IG @biomakerstudio).
