The Herb Block Scholarship Application is now open with Fall semester deadline date of June 1, 2025. The deadline for Spring semester is November 10, 2025.
There are up to 100 scholarships available each year!
Eligibility criteria:
There is no age restriction.
There is no GPA cut-off.
Must be a US citizen, permanent resident alien, DACA, Maryland Dreamer, Virginia Dreamer, or in approved Asylum/Refugee status.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The scholarship can be applied towards tuition, school fees, textbooks, and transportation costs. Recipients have the flexibility to enroll either full-time or part-time, with a minimum of six credits per semester.
The scholarship can be used at any of these four community colleges:
Northern Virginia Community College
Montgomery College
Prince George’s Community College
Community College of the District of Columbia
