​California’s new carbon reporting rule, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (CCDAA), will require companies to disclose emissions for 2025 when the law comes into effect next year. With the law expected to impact 10,000 companies headquartered across the U.S., businesses are now preparing to disclose their Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions and/or climate-related financial risks.
