About Event

Get ready for K-Hacks 0.2!!

You’ll have access to:

10+ humanoid robots:

  • 3D printers, soldering stations, and a bunch of electronics hardware & tools

  • You’ll also get a sneak peak of the upcoming K-Scale humanoid robots

  • Come and built cool robots! Feel free to bring the robots you're working on currently as well!

🏆 Prizes - $21,000+

​🥇 First Place: K-Scale K-Bot ($20,000 humanoid robot)

🥈 Second Place: Seeed Studio NVIDIA Jetson + Seeed StudioReCamera +  Zeroth 02 (~$1700) 

🥉 Third Place: Robstride Actuator + Zeroth 01 robot (~$700) 

The judging criteria is based on technical execution and demos.

Track 1: Coolest Robot Demo Video

Make the robots do the coolest thing and take a video!!! Make some coffee, do a dance, do ALOHA teleoperation. Video demo coolness will be evaluated using a well-calibrated cool-o-meter.

Track 2: Capabilities and Ecosystem Expansion

Improve the current KOS, inference, simulation, and libraries. The winner will be judged by technical execution and creativity.

Track 3: Humanoid Olympics

We’ll be hosting 3 events: boxing and dancing with Zeroth Bots, and the winner get take 1 of the Zeroth Bots home AND qualify for track 1 awards as well.

The top of each track will enter for the prize pool. Additionally, demos will be attended several investors who have experience in the robotics and AI space.

🛠️ Equipments

  • 3D printers

    • We use the Bambu Labs X1 Carbon printers

    • Please contact Ben or JX for assistance setting up the printers

  • Electronics bench

    • Two soldering stations

    • Power supply, multimeter, and other relevant equipment

    • Assorted resistors, capacitors, and other components

  • Actuators

    • We have a limited number of actuators available so we suggest bringing your own

    • We have CAN controllers available

    • Some of what we have:

  • Jetsons

  • GPUs

  • 10:00 AM: Check-in & Kickoff

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch

  • 6:00 PM: Dinner

  • 10:00 PM: Quiet Hours

Sunday

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast

  • 12:00 PM: Lunch

  • 5:00 PM: Dinner & Demos

​To conclude the hackathon we will host a demo session showcasing the projects that people have worked on. This will be technical demos, not company pitches.

​If you are only interested in attending for the demo session, please make a note when signing up so we can plan for food.
