About Event

Join us for an interactive, facilitated workshop where participants collaborate to test real-world climate solutions using En-ROADS, a cutting-edge global climate simulator developed by Climate Interactive, MIT Sloan, and Ventana Systems.

Working together as a group, we'll propose and test climate policies—from renewable energy expansion and carbon pricing to sustainable transportation and regenerative agriculture. Using the En-ROADS simulator in real-time, we'll see how different policy combinations impact global temperature, energy costs, air quality, and economic growth.

This hands-on experience moves beyond abstract climate discussions to concrete exploration of what actually works in building a sustainable, resilient world. Participants will gain practical insights into effective climate action strategies and leave with enhanced ability to engage in informed climate conversations grounded in scientific evidence.

Perfect for leaders, educators, policymakers, students, and anyone seeking to move beyond climate anxiety toward meaningful action. No prior climate expertise required.

Please bring your own laptop for full participation in the workshop activities.

She previously served as Climate Director for the City of Seattle, overseeing the city's Climate Action Plan, and held senior sustainability roles at Amazon and Yahoo!, focusing on carbon reduction and renewable energy procurement. She also helped build Rocky Mountain Institute's corporate consulting practice. Chris holds degrees from Brown University and the Yale School of the Environment. When not working on climate solutions, she volunteers with Mount Rainier's Nordic Ski Patrol and is a former wilderness instructor who led expeditions across four continents.
