Ideas Fair - Blue Ridge Labs – Innovating Together for Social Change
Explore fresh, community-driven ideas at the Blue Ridge Labs Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Fellowship Showcase!
For about the past five weeks, our EIRs have worked closely with New Yorkers facing systemic challenges, engaging directly with community members, nonprofits, and local organizations. Together, they’ve explored pressing issues like housing, healthcare, and employment, and have begun to shape innovative concepts in response.
At this showcase, our EIRs will share these early-stage ideas—not yet fully formed businesses or organizations, but exciting concepts that have the potential to grow into impactful solutions with your feedback and insight.
Why Attend?
Discover Early-Stage Concepts: Get a first look at new ideas rooted in real community needs, developed through deep conversations with those directly affected by poverty and systemic barriers.
Provide Valuable Input: Offer your thoughts and perspectives to help refine these early concepts. Your feedback will help shape which ideas move forward.
Connect with Like-Minded Innovators: Engage with a community of entrepreneurs, social impact professionals, and advocates dedicated to solving real-world problems through innovation and collaboration.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a co-design process that prioritizes collaboration with communities and explores new solutions to old problems. Your participation will help guide these ideas as they evolve into the next phase of development.
Join us at this showcase to support bold, early-stage tech solutions and help shape impactful solutions for New Yorkers, and beyond facing systemic challenges.
The event will run from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. You can pop in for as much or as little as you like. For those that can't make it in-person, you can sign up to attend the virtual fair the morning of 10/9 from 11-12:30PM. It will be the same concepts and ideas, so you only need to attend one event to hear from all the entrepreneurs.
