PauseAI Protest at the Arizona State Capitol

​Join us to peacefully protest at the Arizona State Capitol, to send a signal to policymakers and the public.

​IT IS NOT OKAY TO BUILD SUPERINTELLIGENT AI.

​So why are we letting AI companies try? They admit their technology is extremely dangerous, they think they will succeed at creating superhuman AI in the next few years, and they admit they don't know how to control it.

​It is currently legal to try to create an AI system that can cause catastrophic harm, or that can replace humans in every way. It's up to us to tell the Arizona government--and the world at large--to take this issue seriously.

​Come protest at the capitol from 4:30pm until sunset, and we'll get to interact with state lawmakers as they leave work! We'll take pictures of the protest to share online, and we'll go out for food or drinks afterward.

​This will be Phoenix's first quarterly PauseAI protest, now joining other chapters of PauseAI US throughout the country, and many other PauseAI organizations around the world.
