About Event

Feeling distracted?

Run down?

Procrastination denting confidence?

Self critical thoughts a daily occurrence?

The permission to pause workshop teaches you the surprisingly simple habit that leads to meaningful change. Empowering you to move from reactive behaviour to conscious responses.

Create a simple weekly timetable that protects daily time for you to recharge focus, prevent burnout and feel connected to the people you care about.

The tiny habit that changes everything.

Lack of effort is not the problem. You’ve been trying hard for years. The biggest challenge that's likely to be impeding your life is the same as it is for millions of others;

Having too much to do at work and home

Living in the most distracting time in history

Limited skills to manage stress and difficult thoughts

The above ‘trio of torment’ lead to us developing automatic responses that help us cope in the short term but at the cost of long term change.

Our confidence dips and we repeat the same pattern of behaviour again and again. Like;

Frequent procrastination

Distracted and self critical

Not telling anyone how we really feel and persevering alone

When we develop the daily habit of a high quality pause we find it easier to protect time for the restorative actions that recharge our physical and mental energy. Thus giving us the resources for high quality focus, the courage to set boundaries and attention for the relationships that matter most.

Permission to Pause is a dedicated 2 hour workshop protecting valuable time for you.

We will learn how to

  • Experience a moment of deep calm to get perspective and find valuable clarity

  • Practice the optimal mini meditation pause to help you return to the present - breathing technique & attention technique combined

  • Create a simple weekly timetable of restorative breaks that sharpen focus, rescue us from emotional hijack and protect us from burnout - specific to you

  • Understand how the permission to pause sharpens our focus - the neuroscience of how pausing benefits the brain and decision making

  • Learn and practise the number 1 technique to manage difficult thoughts

  • Plan how to use your pause to switch off from work and aid sleep

  • Consider how restorative breaks and moments of solitude improve our sense of connection with something deeper - transcendence

  • Shatter the myth that we have to be good at everything all the time, it's an illusion, the priority is that we are making progress with the things that give us meaning and purpose

Combines meditation, behavioural science, the growth mindset and techniques that have proven to work with millions of people worldwide.

Delivered by Tiny Pause Founder Sam Thorogood who has supported over 28,000 people and works for some of the worlds leading organisations.
