About Event

Join us for the next text-based AMA session with Neal Lathia to chat about building ML platforms and high-performance ML teams, scaling MLOps, and more.

Neal is currently the Staff ML Engineer at Monzo, an online bank based in the United Kingdom. He focuses on building Monzo’s ML platform and ML systems that help the company scale. Formerly, he was the Associate Director of Machine Learning at Monzo.

Neal also leads an open-source project modelstore. It is a Python library allowing to version, export, and save ML models to a filesystem or a cloud storage provider.

Previously, Neal worked on recommender and ranking systems at Skyscanner. He also was a Senior Research Associate in the Computer Lab at the University of Cambridge, working on healthcare mobile apps that use smartphone sensors.

While you can ask Neal ANYTHING, here are a few topics as an example:

🔥 Building high-performance ML teams
🚀 Scaling MLOps
✅ Moving from one model to many
🛠 Monzo’s ML stack
📦 modelstore

The session will take place on this channel on January 26th, 17:00-18:00 CET (08:00-09:00 am PT).

This is a text-based AMA. We will host the event on our Discord #ask-me-anything channel. Here’s how it works:

  • You post a question on the channel

  • Neal responds

  • The author of the best question gets recognition from Evidently

You can post your questions in advance or ask them live. Bear in mind that if we have a lot of questions, we’ll prioritize live questions, though. The author of the best question gets recognition from Evidently.

Register for the AMA session to receive an invite to the calendar and a reminder notification.

If you are not sure you can join the event live, feel free to sign up anyway: you can ask your question in the registration form and find the answer in Discord after the event.
