​Carlos Jo Loo, Principal at MassMutual Ventures (MMV), will kickstart the event by leading a workshop on mastering the nuances of fundraising. Topics that will be covered include: the fundraising decision framework, what does a good fundraising process look like, what to prepare ahead of a fund raise, what are VCs looking for, and tailoring and perfecting your pitch deck.

​Next, we have Thomas Jeng, General Manager of Aspire Singapore to share how you can elevate your pitch through storytelling and crafting a strategic narrative - the story of why your business exists.

Finally, we will conclude the session with a fireside chat moderated by Kim O' Neil, Head of Operations at MMV along with Carlos, Thomas and Yoan Kamalski, the Co-Founder of ZenAdmin.

​About Carlos Jo Loo

​Carlos is a Principal at MMV, based in Singapore. Before joining the team, Carlos was a Senior Associate at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). During his time at BCG, he worked extensively with BCG Digital Ventures, where he co-founded two start-ups in the energy and industrials sectors. Before BCG, Carlos spent two years working as an Equity Research Associate in BMO Capital Markets. Carlos holds an MPhil in finance from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in economics (First Class) from the University of Sussex.

​About Kim O' Neil

​As Head of Operations, Kim is focused on the financial and operational infrastructure of MMV, leading day-to-day fund operations and wearing many organizational hats across the MMV’s platform. Before joining MassMutual Ventures, Kim was Head of Insurance Controllership at MassMutual overseeing the finance and accounting insurance & reinsurance organizations. Before that, Kim worked at two global insurance companies with focuses on investments and reinsurance accounting, reporting and strategic initiatives. She started her career in public accounting with EY. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned a BS in accounting at Elon University in North Carolina.

​About Thomas Jeng

​Thomas Jeng is General Manager, Singapore at Aspire, a fast-growing FinTech company providing finance solutions to startups, SMBs, investment firms, and the web3 community throughout the Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Aspire, he held a variety of roles in the startup and venture capital space, including at a SaaS startup and international investment firm 500 Global. In addition, Thomas is active as a startup investor and advisor. Thomas began his career in strategy consulting at firms such as Boston Consulting Group and Gartner. Thomas holds degrees from Georgetown University and the Yale School of Management.

​About Yoan Kamalski

With over 7 years of experience in real estate and Tech, Yoan is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of ZenAdmin, a cloud-based HR & IT management platform.
