This session is designed for musicians who are ages 16+ who want to break free from the constraints of written music and explore the art of improvisation.

Warren will guide you through techniques to build confidence, enhance creativity, and develop your unique improvisational style. Through hands-on exercises and real-time feedback, you'll learn how to trust your instincts and express yourself freely.

About Warren:
Warren Wills is a world-class, award-winning musician, composer, and facilitator. He has spent decades working on London’s West End, composing and producing theatre, musical theatre and opera to great acclaim. His work also extends to the wider community, creating music and theatre programs to people who cannot otherwise access these resources – disadvantaged youth, people with health conditions or impairments, and people of varying cultures, faiths and ethnicities.

Warren’s considerable achievements include:

  • Founder and creator of Haringey Shed who received one of the UK’s most prestigious awards – Philip Lawrence Award and Community Heroes, Dec 2009. This is a socially inclusive music theatre group for disadvantaged and disabled youth.

  • Winner, Best Musical: Carling London Award 1992 for ‘Pinmoney Opera’ which he co-wrote with Christina Jones. This was one of 7 operas that he and Christina created and presented with Babel Theatre company in the 90s in London.

  • Runner-up, Critics Circle Award: 1993 for ‘Josephine’. The musical celebrating the life of Josephine Baker.

  • Twice finalist for the Vivian Ellis Award: for ‘Moscow Belongs to Me’ and ‘House of Obsession’, as put forward by Sir Tim Rice.

  • Musical Director/Arranger of ‘Soul Train’’: nominated for Olivier Award for Best Entertainment

  • Composer of the Critics Choice piece ‘Card Index’: written by Taduesz Rozevic, at the BAC.

  • Warren has a worldwide record deal with Prestige with his releases, and currently has 25 albums out worldwide.
