Anda-to-Dhanda - Brand Revamp @ Plaksha University
Anda-to-Dhandha is an immersive brand revamp competition, challenging participants to strategize, pitch, and revitalize assigned brands effectively. The two-day event commences with teams being randomly allotted brands. Participants conduct in-depth research, formulate strategies, and present an "Investment Memo" to a panel of investors, detailing the rationale for partnering with their team.
Eight selected teams secure contracts with the investors, involving an equity stake, transforming the investors into partial owners. On the final day, these teams create professional pitch decks showcasing revamped brand assets, logos, packaging, and visuals. They deliver persuasive "Angel Pitches" to convince investors of their brand's potential.
Competition Guidelines:
Day 1:
Brands will be randomly allotted by 'lucky draw' in the mess. You'll need to present in-depth research and strategy for your assigned brand to the mentors. Write a detailed 'Investment Memo' explaining why investors should sign a deal with your team. ECell's 4 'angel investors' will review all teams, and 8 competent teams will get to sign contracts with them. Angel Pitches have to be given too - jab investor kaha bhi dikh jaye, mauka pakad lo unko convince karne ka!
These contracts will include an equity stake, meaning the investors become part-owners of your team (max 2 teams per investor). So prepare well, as this is where the first deal will be struck!
Day 2:
This is the final day. Only the 8 contracted teams proceed to the finals. You'll need to create a professional 'Pitch Deck' and present it to our jury. You will be judged based on the following rubric:
Rebuilding/Plan to Revamp the brand when it failed - 25
Plan to revamp/relaunch the brand in 2024 - 10
Brand identity/Positioning - 15
Research - 15
Presentation - 20
Q&A - 10
X Factor - 5
Prizes and Scoring:
Listen closely. There's a total prize pool of 500,000 points (1 point = Rs 0.01). Teams get 200,000 points (25,000 per team). Panelists can allocate 200,000 points too. Investor-mentors will distribute 100,000 points.
But remember, whatever equity stake you gave investors will be deducted from your winning prize money. Ye hai asli dhandha!
