StoryTell x Journaling Classes 8/19: Courage
Join us for an evening of connection through storytelling and journaling. We will be gathering at a cozy space, The Drawing Room, in Manhattan for a workshop and community event that will allow you to experience introspection and connection with yourself and others.
Here's what to expect:
🏡 We'll gather at The Drawing Room in Manhattan, a cozy space with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We will begin promptly at 7pm, so please arrive on time.
🥨 Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.
🧘 We'll start with mindfulness-based journaling prompts to connect with our theme, explore our true selves, and uncover our own stories. Journaling materials will be provided!
✨ Whether it was something you wrote or a memory that sparked during journaling, you'll have the opportunity to share your personal story. Stories are limited to 5-7 minutes. This is a low-stakes moment to share your story with a warm, open community in a "campfire stories" setting.
👫 During our time together, we will connect with ourselves and those around us through storytelling, writing, and community. Show up and we're sure you'll walk away with a new friend and a new perspective.
The theme for this gathering is “Courage”.
When have you felt most courageous in your life? Are there any moments where you wish you had been more courageous? Was there a situation in your life that made you a more courageous person? How has courage allowed for you to stand up for yourself or others or help you through challenges? Come share!

Journaling Classes are workshops driven by the power of human connection, advocacy around mental health, and sharing the power of pen to paper. The intention of these gatherings is to hold space for deeper connection to self in a place where you can also share and feel seen in community with others.
StoryTell is a gathering to learn, inspire, and share real life stories around each event's theme. Our mission is to build in-person connection through vulnerability, courage, and empathy to realize we're not alone in our human experience.
Drawing Room all about connection through creativity. Grab an all-day pass to hang out, read on a couch, make art with supplies in our Art Library, and meet others who love being creative! We also host creative workshops for pottery, painting, and printing, plus dinner parties, music nights, swaps, and more.
