Build Your Future: Exploring the Built Environment at the University of Westminster
Before registering, please ensure that you have read and understand our Events 'No Show' Policy. If you are unsure that you will be able to make it, please refrain from signing up and allow the spot to go to someone else. Since this is a partner-led event, a 'no-show- will result in removal from the community.
Thinking about your next steps after college or sixth form?
Whether you're considering university, apprenticeships, or just want to understand your options in the built environment, this is the perfect place to start.
Join us at the University of Westminster, where you’ll explore the wide range of study and career pathways available across architecture, construction, property, planning, and design. You'll get an inside look at the university's brand-new building, Zone 29, and hear directly from students, staff, and professionals about what it's really like to study and work in this space.
You’ll also learn about scholarship opportunities (such as the Chancerygate Foundation), explore cutting-edge facilities like the Fab Lab, and get practical insights from current construction apprentices who’ve chosen alternative routes into the industry.
What to expect:
Get to know the different courses and routes available in the built environment;
Learn about scholarships and funding support available for underrepresented students;
Hear first-hand from apprentices and university lecturers;
Take part in an interactive bitesize session led by Jan Wilcox, a leading voice in the sector;
Tour the campus and Zone 29, a new space designed for innovation and learning;
Enjoy lunch and meet other like-minded students from across London.
