

UConn DojoExplore Seminar 3: Market Analysis
Nucleate Dojo is Nucleate’s undergraduate subdivision, empowering college students to become the next biotech leaders through open-access education, capital, and community.
DojoExplore is a 5-week, introductory in-person seminar series designed to expose undergraduate students to the field of biotech, its basic functions, and its multitude of opportunities. The program is executed in collaboration with UConn iGEM. Guests ranging from biotech VC to early-stage biotech founders to industry and academia leaders will be carrying out 1-1.5 hour seminars throughout the Fall term.

About Leila Daneshmandi
Dr. Leila Daneshmandi is the Co-Founder and COO of Encapsulate, a venture-backed MedTech startup revolutionizing personalized cancer therapy with its tumor-on-a-chip systems, enabling oncologists to design patient-specific treatment regimens. She is also an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Hub at UConn's College of Engineering, where she fosters entrepreneurial ecosystems and drives high-tech, high-growth ventures. As the Co-Director of the Nursing and Engineering Innovation Center, Dr. Daneshmandi spearheads interdisciplinary healthcare-technology collaborations. A TEDx speaker and recipient of numerous accolades, she holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's in Global Entrepreneurship from UConn.
