Happy Hour Round-Tables: Circular Economy & Waste Reduction
Join us for a new and unique type of event: Happy Hour Round-Tables! In this themed happy hour we will gather at a restaurant or bar and split into small-group round-table discussions, with prepared conversation prompts for each table so we can dive deep into meaningful conversations about the theme.
For our first Happy Hour Round-Tables the theme will be Circular Economy & Waste Reduction ♻️
⏳ What to expect
As you arrive, you will join a table with 6-8 people for a focused discussion based on a conversation prompt assigned to the table
Every 20 minutes the organizers will announce a quick break and ask each table to share one insight or action item from their discussion
After the break, participants can choose to switch to a different table to engage in a different discussion, or stay in their current table to continue the conversation
Everyone is welcome to participate or listen in the discussion. You don't need to be an expert in the topic!
Examples of topics you might discuss during this event:
Innovative waste management and recycling/upcycling strategies
Business models for circularity in various industries (textiles, biotech, consumer products and appliances, metals and rare minerals, etc)
The role of technology in enabling a circular economy and/or waste reduction
Consumer behavior as it relates to waste reduction
Policy and regulatory frameworks for circularity and waste management
🍕 Venue, food & drinks
This event will be hosted at Guildhouse in San Jose. Drinks can be purchased individually, but unfortunately they won't be serving food on the day. We will put in a large vegetarian pizza order for the group, you're welcome to join the group order or bring your own food instead.
