About Event

Global Digital Finance, Taxbit and Hogan Lovells are happy to welcome you to the special French Fintech Week edition of "France and Compliance: a license to lead", bringing together leaders across the French and European Web3 / crypto-asset, Fintech, and regulatory landscape.

In the context of European regulatory harmonization for crypto markets, the first steps of which were laid down by MiCA in December 2024, the French industry is facing significant challenges to achieve compliance while competing with global champions from very different jurisdictions.

MiCA, TFR2 and DORA regulations have been in place for several months now. But they are only the three first trees that hide the crypto regulatory forest that the EU is currently planting. If DAC8 will be implemented next January (2026), even more is to come with the current review of the payment services framework, the new AML-CFT regulation and the development of Open Finance.

The aim of the conference is to prove that France has everything - from talents to resilient companies, from legal / tax expertise to the support of policy makers - to digest regulatory challenges and turn such compliance efforts into great opportunities for French and EU growth, attractiveness and competitiveness.

To this end, France & Compliance will host keynotes and round tables of diverse high-level experts who will provide their analysis (benchmarking with what is happening beyond French borders), their points of view and their recommendations to both private and public stakeholders. We will conclude the event with a networking happy hour for the attendees to deepen connections and continue the discussion.
