About Event

Retired New York State Supreme Court Justice the Honorable Marquette L. Floyd passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2020. He was 93 years old. Justice Floyd has been heard to say: “As a child, I thought being rich meant having money and material things. Now I know being rich means the life you live and the legacy you leave.” He was truly blessed with the love of his sons, Stafford, Jonathan and Braxton, his grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason, Aja, Micia, Jaxon, Kristoffer, Kyle, Justin, Chantel and Demarcus, his great grand children Abigail and Ethan and his stepchildren Craig, Deborah and Danielle. Justice Floyd has made numerous contributions to the bench, the bar and the community. His greatest contributions, however were his devotion to his family, his friends and colleagues.
