6.45pm: Tour of available computing by Dr Ricardo Twumasi

7.00pm: Introductions & Idea Exploration

7.30pm: Vote on projects to work on & form teams

7.45pm: Work in teams on top 1-3 projects

9.00pm: Present back to group

9.30pm: Discuss next steps

10.00: Close


Meet the Hosts:

Rachael Twumasi-Corson is a multi award-winning entrepreneur and storyteller. Her words have been published in Huff Post, Business Insider, Healthline, The Voice & Black Ballad. She also writes a substack newsletter for over 30k readers.

Rachael’s published features and chapters include Side Hustle in Progress (HarperCollins), Slay in Your Lane (HarperCollins), Superheroes (Merky Books, Penguin), A Quick Ting On: The Black Girl Afro (Jacaranda Books, Hachette), Grown (Bloomsbury Publishing) and How to Make Money (HarperCollins.)

As well as non-fiction, Rachael enjoys writing science fiction, fantasy and speculative fiction because of the way these genres allow us to dismantle issues in our worlds and imagine better ones. Influenced by her Ghanaian and Dutch heritage, as well as her upbringing in London, she explores culture, identity and belonging in her work.

Rachael lives in London with her teacher husband and four (extremely energetic) young children. When she's not crafting stories, running businesses, volunteering or serving on boards, Rachael does karate, paints and plays guitar.


Dr Ricardo Twumasi commenced his tenure at King's College London in 2019, from the University of Manchester.

As a principal investigator, he has spearheaded an array of research initiatives encompassing resilience in healthcare workers, health promotion, workplace discrimination, energy company collaboration, and public engagement in the fields of psychology and psychiatry.

Currently, his scholarly pursuits are concentrated on organisational change, with a specialised focus on leveraging machine learning to create opportunities for individuals suffering from mental health conditions.

Ricardo has been an invited speaker at prestigious platforms including the British Psychological Society, The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, and the Council of Europe, among other academic institutions.

Ricardo Twumasi's research interests and areas of PhD supervision include:

  • Organisational Change and Adoption of Net Zero

  • Workplace Health Promotion

  • Equality at Work

  • Work Stress;

  • Health Inequalities

Ricardo leads the 7PCSDECL Decolonising Mental Health Research module.

In addition to his academic publications, he has contributed articles to the BBC, The Conversation, The World Economic Forum, and HR Review. His research has been featured and he has been interviewed by media outlets such as the BBC and iNews, as well as a diverse array of podcasts.
