6-6:30pm | Drinks & Connections: But wait, there's more! Fuel up with some drinks and dive into our Drinks & Connections session. Meet fellow jazz enthusiasts, tech aficionados, and creative minds. Who knows? You might just find your next collaborator or spark a brilliant idea!

6:30-7pm | Talks by Dan Freeman and Eric Singer : Discover the secrets behind blending improvisation with cutting-edge tech and dive into the exciting world of AI-powered music production in jazz.

7-8pm | Jam Session Kickoff: Let the jazz spirit take flight with a lively Jam Session to kick off the night. Experience the magic of live music as we set the stage for an epic journey into the future of jazz and technology.

Performers and Speakers will include: Eric Singer, Dan Freeman, Matt Garrison, and Oskar Kiwic.

Eric Singer, a Brooklyn-based multimedia artist and cross-disciplinary engineer. He is known internationally for his electronic, robotic and pyrotechnic musical instruments; interactive sound and video installations; and underground and immersive performance and theatrics. He is a founder of several influential arts organizations, including the guerilla arts combine The Madagascar Institute, LEMUR: League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots, and the NYC Burning Man Regional Association.

Dan Freeman, a producer/bassist and music technologist based in Brooklyn, New York. Dan is a professor at Berklee College of Music in the Electronic Production and Design Department as well as on the faculty of The Juilliard School’s Center for Innovation in the Arts and New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. At all these institutions he oversees the courses and curriculum focusing on the use of laptops using the Ableton Live software for musical production and performance.

Matthew Garrison, a jazz virtuoso and entrepreneur hailing from New York City. Matthew's journey began amidst a community of creatives in New York before honing his musical talents in Rome and Boston. Since then, he's graced stages alongside legends like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Joni Mitchell, solidifying his place in the pantheon of contemporary jazz. As the founder of GarrisonJazz Productions and ShapeShifter Lab, Matthew continues to push boundaries, earning acclaim from Time Out New York and Downbeat. His latest venture, ShapeShifter Lab Productions Inc., pioneers groundbreaking software platforms, promising even greater innovation on the horizon. Join us in celebrating Matthew's legacy and shaping the future of music.

Oskar Kiwic, MD - a physician, entrepreneur, and jazz drummer based in New York City. He is the pioneer behind the first HIPAA-compliant voice AI application for smart speakers. His work with Cedars-Sinai has led to influential research on voice-operated systems in clinical settings. Currently, Dr. Kiwic focuses on advancing AI-driven solutions tailored for cardiac care.
