Dr. Jackson Lai, Partner, BDO Canada
Dr. Jackson Lai helps technology companies grow by maximizing the value of their intellectual property and R&D efforts. As a Partner at BDO, he advises clients on innovation strategy, funding opportunities, and tax relief programs.
With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and over 15 years of experience in product development, Dr. Lai has worked across sectors including biomedical devices, life sciences, IT infrastructure, and consumer electronics—contributing to the shipment of over 20 million units globally.
He holds 18+ patents, has authored 20+ journal publications, and remains active in both industry and academia.
